The reason SportsTake was born.
Sports conversation became exhilarating when the social media boom began because sports conversation was public. You felt like your opinion about sports, FINALLY mattered.
But as time went on, more social media platforms came to fruition and sports conversation became less fun. People were:
1. Texting about sports
2. Tweeting about sports
3. Snapchating about sports
4. Etc
All of the sudden sports conversation became a chore having to keep up with all these platforms to converse about one of the greatest subjects on earth (sports).
Thus, when things become a chore, most of the time people avoid them. All of the sudden sports became less fun to converse about. Plus with the hundred of entertainment options these days (YouTube, Netflix, Twitch, etc), sports became less fun to consume.
This was depressing because there is nothing on earth quite like sports. The passion, competition, rivalries, communities, entertainment. Sports have it all and they deserve to appreciated on social media.
